Bluetooth Interconnection Choices
August 29, 2009
There was a time when, if you needed a headset, you had to have a cable and a jack. For a headset, the interconnection was through a cable. However, cables are always a possible failure point for mobile devices.
Currently, with Bluetooth technology, it’s possible to be connected without the cables. You only need to have a Bluetooth plug-in on your computer and you can connect your laptop bluetooth headset without a cable. The good thing about this concept is that you don’t need to buy a same brand headset. You can use other brands, and as long as it’s Bluetooth certified, you can use it without any hassles.
Bluetooth evolved from as a collaboration to create a standard of wireless links between disparate devices. As long as the electronic item needed to be connected to some other device, Bluetooth technology can solve that issue. You can have a Bluetooth headset and it can link to any other device which has a Bluetooth connection. For instance a Bluetooth device and a laptop can use the same headset.
Currently. there a lot of models to select from for a Bluetooth headset. You can have a mono-headset, which clips to one ear, or a stereo headset. In both instances of course, the microphone is built-in and comes installed with the device.
